No More Soggy Coolers!
Techni-Ice was originally
developed as a replacement for dry ice for commercial and medical aircraft
shipments. Techni-Ice is the result of this need to transport
globally through aircraft. Unlike dry ice, Techni-Ice is safe
and non toxic. Techni-Ice can also be used hot or cold. Techni-Ice
stays frozen for days, much longer than ice. This makes it perfect for camping,
hunting, and fishing trips, picnics and barbecue's . Now you don't have to
worry about replacing your ice every few hours and having a soggy cooler. With Techni-Ice,
all your food stays at an even temperature and is never soggy. This is
especially important when transporting perishables such as fish, milk, meats,
and baby formula. Speaking of babies, just pop Techni-Ice in the
microwave and keep your baby's bottle warm. Techni-Ice keeps hot
foods hot and cold foods cold.
Techni-Ice also doubles as
hot or cold packs for therapeutic pain relief and injuries. Because each
11"x15 1/2" sheet has 24 individual cells, you can cut it to fit any size.
This also allows it to be flexible to wrap around arms, legs,
neck and back, as well as wine bottles and for use in small
lunch boxes. Techni-ice has four layers, two internal
fabric layers that contain food safe polymer. The fabric also resists
punctures so you can use it over and over again without having to worry about
leaks. The fabric layers are surrounded by heavy duty, washable plastic on
both sides. The reusable technology of Techni-Ice also comes
from the tiny holes which allow warm water to come in, but won't allow it to
come back out. The warm water reacts with the polymer to expand. Once Techni-Ice
has expanded it will not go back flat! The high levels of polymer is what
allows it to remain frozen for so long. You may store your Techni-Ice
(cleaned and dried) at room temperature or in the freezer.
Hydrating Your Techni-Ice
Hydrating Techni-Ice is
very simple. Techni-ice is shipped in flat sheets to your door.
When you are ready to use your Techni-Ice, simply fill a sink or
a bucket with clean warm water. Immerse the sheet in the water for about 90
seconds while scrunching the sheet gently. When the Techni-Ice cells are
plumped, but not tight (can still make an indent in surface, this
allows for expansion during freezing) it is ready to freeze (or heat if that
is your need). Re-hydrate your Techni-Ice sheets, if needed, for
maximum performance and product life (they will not go flat, but after many
uses may need a dip to keep them at their best!).
Freezing Your Techni-Ice
Place your Techni-Ice
in the freezer 24-48 hours before you plan to use it. If you are using more
than one sheet you may stack them on top of each other. You may also store
them in your freezer. You will want to set your freezer at its coldest
setting for maximum freezing power. The colder they are frozen the longer
they will stay frozen. Can be frozen to -80 degrees for commercial use!
Heating Your Techni-Ice
Place room temperature Techni-Ice
in your microwave at the highest heat setting at 1 minute intervals. Once you
have achieved desired temperature, remove. Do not overheat! Great for muscle
aches!
How Many Sheets Of Techni-Ice Do
I Need?
It is recommended that you use one
sheet of Techni-Ice for every 6-8 quarts of cooler you are using.
This recommendation is usually achieved when you line the bottom and sides of
your cooler with Techni-Ice and then cover the top after you
have added your food.
