A few quick up & down motions with
the Super Siphon Hose check-valve end will prime the siphon hose to start
liquid flowing freely (see action picture below). Because this "pumping
action" primes the siphon, some people call this a "pumping siphon" or a "syphon
pump". This siphon hose is not, nor does it have, an electric pump end
that works automaticly. As with all syphons, it functions with
gravity, and the exit end of the siphon hose MUST be below the fluid level
being drained. You cannot siphon up hill against gravity!
